Richardson’s Soccer Spectrum expands outdoor space and renovates indoor bar

Richardson’s Soccer Spectrum is expanding its outdoor space later this year. The soccer field is located at 1251 Digital Drive in Richardson. Facilities added as part of the expansion include a new outdoor awning, an expanded patio and upgrades to the outdoor soccer field. The indoor bar is also set to be remodeled as part of the renovations.

Spectrum Soccer is one of North Texas’ oldest indoor soccer facilities, established in 1986 by the Mungioli family. Executive director Sharon Stringfellow said the expansion had been planned since new owners bought the business last year.

Stringfellow said construction is expected to begin soon and will take 3-4 months. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, construction is expected to cost $1.3 million.

Soccer Spectrum is open 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week. 972-644-8845.
