Pinte for Poke: Proof of Vaccination Grants Free Beer to Green Bay Residents | WFRV Local 5

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WFRV) – As Wisconsin continues to see an increase in coronavirus cases, businesses and health departments have offered all they can to encourage people to get the vaccine. From cash and food, to store discounts and even free meat, Wisconsinites have apparently seen it all – until now.

On Thursday, Opportunity Wisconsin and Noble Roots Brewing Company joined forces to host a “Pint for Poke” vaccination event. This event offered a free pint of beer to the first 65 adults who showed their COVID-19 vaccination card.

“We are hosting our very first Pint for Poke event in this region. So we partnered up with a local brewery, Noble Roots Brewing Company in Green Bay, and if you come showing proof of vaccination, be it a vaccination card or mobile vaccination card , you get a free pint of beer, ”shared Green Bay Regional Lead Opportunity Wisconsin, Claire Westlund.

The event took place at the Noble Roots Brewing Company located at 2790 University Avenue, Green Bay, and follows another successful “Pint for Poke” event held in Milwaukee the previous week.

Opportunity Wisconsin held COVID-19 vaccine incentive events throughout the summer in Badger State, including a series of ‘Shot for Shot’ events where residents were given a free coffee drink or espresso with proof of vaccination.
