People are crazy about the Buffalo Police Officer Facebook page

I think that’s pretty funny … but, after looking at some of the comments on his social media pages, it seems a lot of people don’t agree with me. Many do, but many do not.

Buffalo Police Officer Richard Hy has millions of views across all social media platforms for his “Angry Cops” brand. It’s all over YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok and it’s basically entertaining posts about being in the police department and your days in the military.

But, he thinks it costs him promotions at work, so it got us thinking: Do the videos he makes reflect a lack of professionalism?

Some people call for controversy? What do you think? I mean, I can see why people would think that way, but it’s entertaining. In the video below, you can see him speaking with a Russian accent throughout his “Socialism Takes Over Buffalo NY” video.

Is there another reason the Buffalo Police Department wouldn’t do it? What do you think? According to WIVB, here’s what Agent Richard Hy’s attorney said:

He has applied for numerous promotions over the years. But every time it seems like Buffalo pd is going out of their way to ignore it and the lowest common denominator is their social media activity, ”said Hy’s attorney, Adam Grogan.

According to a Buffalo Police spokesperson, the city is not commenting on pending litigation.

Does he even need a promotion anyway? All of his accounts have combined millions and millions of subscribers, so, honestly, he’s probably making a lot of money. Either way, Mr. Hy, you’re pretty entertaining, so thanks for the laughs!
