Henrico County-Based Outdoor Living Brands Sold to Georgia-Based Franchise Company | News from local businesses

Outdoor Living Brands, a franchise company based in Henrico County specializing in residential and commercial outdoor living services, such as irrigation and lighting systems, was acquired.

The company announced last week that it had been sold for an undisclosed amount to LYNX Franchising, a company based in Alpharetta, Ga. That has other franchises in the commercial cleaning and electronic catering business.

LYNX Franchising is a holding company of MidOcean Partners, a New York-based private equity firm.

Outdoor Living Brands, founded in 2008, owns the Archadeck franchises, a manufacturer of decks, porches and patios; Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, which provides architectural and landscape lighting services; and Conserva Irrigation, which repairs and maintains irrigation systems.

In 2018, the company sold its Mosquito Squad business, a pest control franchise company with more than 250 franchisees, to Maryland-based Authority Brands LLC.

As part of the deal, Outdoor Living Brands CEO Chris Grandpre is stepping down as CEO but will join the board of LYNX Franchising. Scott Zide, President and COO of Outdoor Living Brands, will continue to lead the brands in partnership with the LYNX leadership team.
