Cy-Fair Home and Outdoor Living Show is coming to the Berry Center on March 26-27

The 14th annual Cy-Fair Home and Outdoor Living will take place at the Berry Center on March 26-27, featuring exhibitors and home and garden services.

Among the vendors and exhibitors are specialists in new home products, home improvement and other services. Texas A&M AgriLife will host a Master Gardener Plant Sale with Harris County on both days of the show. The show is presented by Texwood Shows.

Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows, said the show, returning for the first time in-person since COVID-19 hit the Houston area, will feature fan-favorite services just in time for spring.

“One thing that we’ve always had in the show but haven’t for the past few years is Harris County factory sales,” Wood said. “It’s the perfect time to get plants now that the last winter period is over. Now is a great time to get plants at very reasonable prices from the master gardeners of Harris County.

The Greater Houston Builders Association will also make an appearance this year, having originally been slated for 2020. The GHBA Remodelers Council will host a charity garage sale, featuring gently used items.

“These are items that for some reason are heavily unused and about new or lightly used,” Wood said. “Maybe it’s an appliance that was ordered in the wrong size or a kitchen cabinet in the wrong color or finish.”

Featuring mostly local suppliers, the first in-person show since 2019 gives residents the opportunity to meet contractors, whether painters, renovators or roofers, in person.

Attendees can purchase whole trees at Verdant Tree Farm, spas and landscaping, as well as attend a variety of presentations by some of the Houston area’s top home and garden professionals.

“We’re going to have a lot of trees, with some wholesale arborists having booths at the show, so basically you can buy trees, sycamores, crape myrtles, live oaks, you name it,” a said Wood. . “You can buy them at wholesale prices at the salon, which isn’t always something you could do.”

Randy Lemmon, host of GardenLine on AM 740 KTRH, will host a presentation, Q&A and book signing during the event. From HomeShow Radio Pros, host Tom Tynan will do a live radio broadcast of the show and answer questions about home improvement, and host Dany Millikin will give presentations and a Q&A . Diane Cowen, architecture and design editor for the Houston Chronicle, will give presentations on interior design topics.

Featured exhibitors include Axiom Solutions, Cutco, Jellyfish Lighting, HomeCraft Gutter Protection and more.

“Most of our vendors specialize in the Cypress area or northwest Houston or in some cases north of Houston,” Wood said. “There are a few guys operating all over the city, but most of them will be primarily from this area of northwest Houston.”

Teachers will receive half the discount on admission to the Home & Away Show, as well as all CFISD employees with valid ID.

All military personnel, as well as firefighters, police officers and first responders, will enjoy free admission on March 27.
